In 1967, I was 13. I already had an after-school job delivering groceries on a 'Granville' bike under my belt (no safety hat, no hi-vis jacket) and I think around about this time 50 years ago, I was working in a chip shop a few evenings a week (hot fat and slippery floors, pre health & safety). It was my second year at St Mary's Christian Brothers Grammar School, Belfast. In the city and certain neighbourhoods, trouble was simmering.........
