for those home viewers
and those who were there.
Dedication,
inspiration,
commitment,
endurance,
success,
all involved more than able,
proof on the medals table.
The Olympics opened,
the Olympics happened,
the Olympics closed
with a surge of pride, of hopes and dreams,
nothing beyond our reach it seems.
But the present becomes the past,
and we have a choice for tomorrow's days,
to grasp and grip opportunities
or return to our cynical, fickle ways.
In our minds, hearts and souls capture
lights, fire, fireworks, music, dance, artistic flair,
Olympics 2012 have closed
but, ready, set, future - a soaring spirit
will take us there.
