A time to jubilate, a time for jubilance,
a time to find new spirit for the nation,
to celebrate in joy, in song, in verse, in
dance,
a jubilee, a time for jubilation.
A time to take account, to stand up and
appraise,
a time to laud, to salute this public life,
mother, grand and great-grand, a variety of
roles,
sixty years a Queen and sixty-four a wife.
A time for symbolism, for pomp and
circumstance,
a time to balance history, to acknowledge
all she’s been,
a headscarf and a handbag, a gentle smile,
a wave,
a constant in our country, Her Majesty, the Queen
A time to jubilate, a time for jubilance,
a time to find new spirit for the nation,
to celebrate in joy, in song, in verse, in
dance,
a jubilee, a time for jubilation.
A time for an ovation, to rise and to be
seen
to shout three cheers for Her Majesty, the
Queen.
