I had come to the edge of town
because I had to see what I refused to believe,
where once the streets and shops were busy,
there was nothing, nothing at all,
just boarded stores and a stray dog,
no people, no traffic, no litter, nothing,
where once local pride was a proud boast,
now Nothing Town has become a ghost.
